New quarter, new vibes, same ASI energy! Shake off the winter chill and get ready for a season full of fun, friends, and fresh opportunities. Our spring programming is live starting March 2, so you can see all that is blooming this quarter. Here’s your spring lineup: 

All program registrations, pass purchases, and spot reservations are managed through ASI Access. Learn how to manage your access and download the ASI Access app for even easier access to program offerings and schedules! 

 

ASI Aquatics  

Make a splash with ASI Aquatics! Build strength, improve your strokes, and gain confidence in the water with programs for all levels. 
Unless otherwise specified, registration for Aquatics offerings will be available through ASI Access starting at midnight on March 9, 2026. 

  • SwimFit offers intermediate to advanced swimmers personalized coaching to help elevate their goals, improve endurance, and sharpen stroke technique.  
  • For those seeking more individualized attention, Personal Aquatics Training provides one-on-one sessions tailored to your unique ability level.  
  • Certification opportunities are also available this quarter, including CPRLifeguard, and SCUBA courses.  
  • Exciting spring events: 
    • Boats & Float
      Stop by the Cal Poly Recreation Center Leisure Pool on April 25 from 5–7:00 p.m. and on May 30 from 3–5:00 p.m. for an afternoon of remote–control boat racing and free root beer floats.  
    • Drop-In Water Polo
      Every Sunday, March 30–May 31 from 5–7:00 p.m., come to the Cal Poly Recreation Center Lap Pool (deep end) for drop–in water polo. No registration required! 
    • Spring Swim–A–Thon Challenge
      Participants will have three hours to complete a threemile swim at the Cal Poly Recreation Center Lap Pool (shallow end), on May 23 from noon–3:00 p.m. All finishers will receive a commemorative t-shirt!

ASI Craft Center   
The Craft Center provides a range of fun, affordable, and instructor-led creative classes and workshops. Studio passes are also available for crafting at your schedule. Unless otherwise specified, registration for Craft Center offerings will be available through ASI Access starting at 8 a.m. on March 30, 2026. 

  • 6-week courses: Ceramics—handbuilding, Ceramics—wheel throwing, jewelry making, leatherworking, painting, sewing, stained glass, stamp making, and surfboard shaping. 
  • Workshop offerings: Cyanotype, glass fusing, leatherworking, sewing, and stamp making. 
  • Studio Passes: Ceramics, sewing, stained glass, and surfboard shaping. 
  • Makers Market
    The Makers Market returns for spring! Explore an array of handcrafted creations made by our local community Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6 in Chumash Auditorium (Building 65, Room 205). If you are interested in selling your crafts at the event, Vendor Applications are open starting April 6, at 8 a.m. 

ASI Events  
From Goat Yoga & Boba to Trivia Night, ASI Events provides a space for students to build connections and experience college life outside of the classroom. 

  • Trivia Nights
    Test your knowledge, win prizes, and enjoy free Woodstock’s Pizza! At The Lounge in the University Union (Building 65, Room 119) on select Tuesdays: April 7, April 28, and May 19, from 6:30–8 p.m. 
  • SLO Music Hour
    Enjoy live music and free food at the University Union Plaza (near Building 65) during SLO Music Hour! Stop by on Thursday, April 16 and May 14, from 11 a.m.–noon for great tunes and a tasty treat. 
  • Goat Yoga+Boba
    De-stress at Goat Yoga & Boba on Thursday, April 23 and April 30, at the Health Center Lawn (near Building 27) for a relaxing yoga session with baby goats and boba. Registration is required. 
  • 14th Annual Mustang Mile
    Mustang Mile returns on Wednesday, May 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Health Center Lawn (near Building 27)! This 5K honors the memory of Carson Starkey, who lost his life to alcohol poisoning after a fraternity hazing incident. Registration opens on Monday, April 27 at noon.  
  • Spring Music Fest
    The Spring Music Festival invites Cal Poly students to a fun, free night of live music at the University Union Plaza on Wednesday, May 27, from 7–10 p.m. 
  • Poolooza
    Make a splash on Saturday, May 30, from 1–3 p.m. at the Cal Poly Recreation Center (Building 43). Enjoy the leisure pool, sand volleyball courts, a live DJ, raffle, and free food, ice cream, chips, and drinks! 
  • Caps, Cards, & Blooms
    Whether you’re a graduating student ready to personalize your cap or a student wanting to make a bouquet or card, stop by the University Union Plaza (near Building 65) on Thursday, May 28, from 2–4 p.m. 
  • Study & Snack
    Fuel up for finals with Study & Snack on Monday, June 8, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Stop by the Performing Arts Center Lobby (Building 6) for free food, coffee, Scantrons®, and a quiet place to study. 

ASI Fitness
Level up your routine with ASI Fitness! From strength training to group workouts, our programs are designed to keep you motivated and moving! Unless otherwise specified, registration for fitness offerings will be available through ASI Access starting at 8 a.m. on March 9, 2026. Spring classes, specialized fitness classes, and reservations will be available at the start of the quarter.  

This season, ASI Fitness is offering free spring workshops designed to help you try something new and refresh your routine: 

  • Shorin Ryu Karate Workshop
    Step onto the mat and experience the balance, discipline, and power of traditional Okinawan martial arts. 
  • Noche de Salsa y Bachata
    Learn foundational salsa steps, boost your cardio fitness, and build confidence on the dance floor. No partner required.  
  • Hydro Hype HIIT
    This heart–pumping, muscle–toning aquatic workout takes place from 1:30–3:00 p.m., featuring three 30–minute sessions every half hour. No registration required. 

ASI Intramural Sports
ASI Intramural Sports give students a fun, social, and competitive way to stay active and connect on campus. With weekly leagues in sports like soccer, flag football, pickleball, and volleyball—plus single-day tournaments and special events like e-sports, bingo, and bowling—there’s something for everyone, whether you’re seeking friendly competition or just a good time with friends. Unless otherwise specified, registration for Intramural Sports offerings will start at 5 p.m. on March 9, 2026. and spots go fast, so mark your calendar! 

  • Leagues: Soccer, 7v7 Flag Football, Futsal, Pickleball, Softball, Ultimate Frisbee, Dodgeball, Spikeball, Basketball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Grass Volleyball, and Innertube Water Polo. 
  • Tournaments: E-Sports—Smash Bros, E-Sports—Rocket League, Bowling, and RecFest.
  • 2nd Annual Picklefest
    On Friday, April 3, ASI Student Government in partnership with ASI Intramural  Sports will be hosting a Pickleball Tournament for the 2nd Annual Picklefest! Registration will begin Friday, March 13 at 8 a.m. for the tournament.

Note: Registration for Intramural Sports events requires a pass that participants can purchase ahead of registration times at ASI Access for their preferred way to play! Tournaments require the purchase of a Player Pass or One-Day Tournament Pass. After purchasing a pass, register on Fusion Play whether as a team or free agent. Visit Intramural Sports registration, for more information about the process, helpful tips, and links to apps.  

ASI Poly Escapes
Poly Escapes is your go-to campus adventure hub, organizing unforgettable hiking, camping, and surfing trips—plus offering affordable gear rentals and an exciting climbing park for students. Unless otherwise specified, registration for offerings will be available through ASI Access starting at midnight on March 9, 2026. 

  • Trips: 
    • Art Camping in San Simeon: April 12–13 
    • Coastal Fishing Day Trip: April 18 
    • Big Sur Backpacking: April 24–26 
    • Sequoia National Park Backpacking—Pear Lake: May 8–10 
    • Pismo Beach Surf Day Trip: May 9 
    • Avila Lighthouse Kayak Day Trip: May 16 
  • Events: 
    • Gear Sale and Bouldering Competition
      Join us for a full day of climbing and deals! The Annual Bouldering Competition runs from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. at the Poly Escapes Climbing Park. Score discounted outdoor adventure and fitness equipment at the Used Gear Sale from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on the Health Center Lawn!
    • Climbing Park Movie Night
      In partnership with the climbing club, Poly Escapes is excited to host a cozy evening of film, friends, and fun. 
    • The Cal Poly P Ascent Climb-a-thon Challenge
      Poly Escapes is teaming up with Intramural Sports to bring back a classic event—the Climb-a-Thon Climb-a-Mile Challenge! 
  • Certification & Training Courses: 
    • Wilderness First Aid (WFA) by American Red Cross
      Gain the skills and confidence to respond to medical emergencies in remote environments through this 16-hour American Red Cross® Wilderness First Aid course. 
    • Belay Qualification Class
      Learn to conquer the ASI Poly Escapes Climbing Park with the essential techniques taught at our Belay Classes!  

ASI Wellness
Your well–being is our priority. Support your physical, mental, and emotional health throughout this quarter. 

  • Fill Your Bucket
    This drop–in wellness event offers students a chance to recharge with free self-care goodies.  
  • Cal Fresh Collab
    Stop by the Cal Poly Recreation Center Lobby for a yummy treat and learn more about Cal Fresh resources available to students.  
  • Paint & Plant
    Celebrate Earth Day and paint your own succulent pot in the Cal Poly Recreation Center.  
  • Guided Meditation
    Take a mindful pause for a guided meditation session designed to help you reset, refocus, and ease stress.  
  • Study Survival Station
    Stop by the Cal Poly Recreation Center Lobby for snacks, study supplies, stress–relief goodies and encouraging resources.  

ASI Student Government
Spring is coming in hot, and ASI Student Government is bringing the energy with events and so much more you won’t want to miss! 

  • Headshot Days
    Students can take advantage of free headshots April 1, 2, 3, and 6 at the Cal Poly Recreation Center Training Room. Have your professional headshot ready for the next Career Fair—just bring your best smile and the pop up cameras will take care of the rest! No registration needed.
  • 2nd Annual Picklefest
    On Friday, April 3, ASI Student Government in partnership with ASI Intramural  Sports will be hosting a Pickleball Tournament for the 2nd Annual Picklefest! Registration will begin Friday, March 13 at 8 a.m. for the tournament. 
  • ASI Elections: Don’t miss out on upcoming opportunities to learn more about candidates running for ASI President and Board of Directors before the 2026–27 Elections results announcement!  
    • Candidate Media & Resource Day on Thursday, April, 9 at 11 a.m. in Chumash Auditorium 
    • The Presidential Candidate Debate on Thursday, April 16, at 11 a.m. in the University Union Plaza 
    • Candidate Meet & Greet on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m. in the University Union Plaza 
    • Election Announcement on Thursday, April 23, at noon in the University Union Plaza 
  • It’s On Us
    From April 27-30 there will be various fun activities planned such as ASI Student Night at Baseball, Denim Day, and more.  
  • Semester Conversion Resource Fair
    If you need more information or have questions about the semester conversion, there will be resources on April 30 from 11 a.m.–noon in the University Union Plaza. 
  • ASI Farmers Market
    In partnership with ASI Events, there will be an on-campus Farmers Market providing free produce for students. This will be on May 14, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in the University Union Plaza.
