Cal Poly Rose Float
Join the tradition.
Since 1949, students from San Luis Obispo and Pomona have worked together to create the joint Cal Poly Universities float. The float is an annual tradition carried on by Cal Poly students. Gain a true Learn by Doing experience through helping to design and build the only student-built float in the Rose Parade.

Cal Poly Universities’ 2027 Float Theme — Soaring As One
The theme for the 2027 Tournament of Roses Parade has been announced and the Rose Float team is hard at work on their new design.
Send Cal Poly to Pasadena Rose Parade!
The Cal Poly Rose Float team is raising funds to help more students experience this unique opportunity to participate in this Learn by Doing experience. Our program stands as one of the longest continuously running, self-built entries in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade and is the only float in the parade designed, engineered, and constructed entirely by students.
