About the UUAB
The University Union Advisory Board (UUAB) makes policy recommendations for ASI-managed facilities including the Cal Poly Recreation Center, Julian A. McPhee University Union, Cal Poly Sports Complex, Doerr Family Field, and Cal Poly P while working to maintain the integrity of the University Union student body fee.
The University Union Advisory Board (UUAB) is comprised of one appointed student member from each academic college including the vice-chair, one ASI Board of Directors representative, and the ASI president or designee. UUAB representatives advise the university president and ASI executive director on policies, programs, and improvements related to ASI-managed facilities including the Julian A. McPhee University Union, Cal Poly Recreation Center, Cal Poly Sports Complex, Doerr Family Field, and Cal Poly P.
Recruitment for UUAB membership is open April 12–May 12 (or until filled.) For the 2021-22 academic year, UUAB is recruiting for representatives from the following college:
- College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences (CAFES)
Until further notice, the University Union Advisory Board will be operating meetings in an online and open meeting Zoom format, consistent with the CA Governor’s Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-29-20, suspending certain open meeting law restrictions.
Members of the public and campus community are welcome to participate and provide public comment during the open forum. Open forum takes place during the first 15 minutes of every meeting. If you are unable to participate in a University Union Advisory Board meeting, but would like to address the board, you may send a letter to the Chair of the UUAB at firstname.lastname@example.org. Letters will be read at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
