ASI Alumni Council

The Cal Poly ASI Alumni Council is the formally recognized external body tasked with working with ASI Student Government leaders and ASI staff on matters regarding Student Government alumni events and programs, mentorship, and the ASI Learn-By-Doing Leadership Endowment.

The ASI Alumni Council is advisory in nature and may not in any circumstances hold the privileges and authority provided to the ASI Board of Directors.

The council consists of four Student Government alumni who have graduated from the university, one student representative from the Board of Directors, and one student representative from the University Union Advisory Board. An officer or subordinate of the corporation serves as the student co-chair. One of the four alumni serve as co-chair of the council. The other three alumni positions have focuses on alumni engagement, mentorship, and endowment development.

ASI Learn-by-Doing Leadership Endowment

ASI established the ASI Learn-by-Doing Leadership Endowment in honor of retired Cal Poly President Warren J. Baker and his more than thirty years of leadership, partnership, and support of shared governance. The ASI Leadership Fund is intended to serve as an ongoing resource to support the development of student leaders across the Cal Poly campus.

When you make a gift to the ASI Leadership Fund, you are making a difference in the lives of future leaders in the following ways:

  • Leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Mentoring programs connecting current and emerging student leaders with ASI alumni.
  • Scholarships, stipends, and other forms of support.

If you would like to support the ASI Learn-By-Doing Leadership Fund Endowment, visit Cal Poly Giving. Under designations, select ASI Leadership Endowment Fund.
