Student employment opportunities are offered year-round with flexible work schedules to accommodate academic commitments. Students can work in one of many areas of ASI, from the Cal Poly Recreation Center, University Union, Orfalea Family and ASI Children’s Center, and more. Students have the unique opportunity at ASI to work in a wide variety of positions. From officiating sports, to event planning, to guiding students through the great outdoors, or more administrative roles in human resources, accounting, and graphic design, there is a position for every interest or long-term career path.
We understand that academics come first, but also believe that a quality job experience prepares students for their careers after Cal Poly. As part of the employment experience at ASI, students will receive:

It is a conflict of interest for ASI to employ members of ASI Student Government and require those individuals to have the responsibility of governing and making decisions regarding the organization by which they are employed. Because of this conflict, it is necessary to separate the roles by not allowing a student to simultaneously hold a position in Student Government and be employed by ASI.
