Levels of Play

Division 1

Highly Competitive

Division 1 leagues are designed for participants who have previously participated in organized competition for a high school, club or travel team. The level of competition in this league is high.

Division 2

Moderately Competitive

Division 2 leagues are designed for those who have experience in their sport but may not possess the technical skills or experience needed to enjoy Division 1 leagues. These leagues are moderately competitive.

Division 3

Lightly Competitive

Division 3 leagues are designed for those who have little to no experience in their sport, but would still like to participate in a competitive atmosphere. The competition level is light.

Non-Competitive Play

Recreational Leagues

These leagues are designed for participants to have fun in a relaxed environment. Prior experience in the sport is not necessary to play in these leagues. Participants are more interested in playing for fun than for a championship.

League Types

To accommodate all our competitors and participants, each Intramural Sport is broken down into either Competitive or Recreational Leagues.

Open Recreational: These leagues are designed for participants who are looking for a fun, relaxed Intramural Sports experience. The competitive atmosphere in these leagues is more casual. Teams of this league will not advance to a playoff tournament but will rather be offered an extended regular season.

Open Competitive: These leagues are designed for participants who are looking to compete at a higher level. The competitive atmosphere in these leagues is more energetic and spirited. These leagues are available for every Skill-level Division.
