ASI Student Government is seeking a committed student leader to fill the 2026–27 University Union Advisory Board (UUAB) Chair position. Students will have the opportunity to nominate an eligible candidate and participate in the election process. The UUAB represents students by improving their experiences at facilities like the Julian A. McPhee University Union and Cal Poly Recreation Center. The board makes policy recommendations for ASI-managed facilities and works to maintain the integrity of the University Union student body fee. Any currently enrolled Cal Poly student may nominate an eligible student.
The UUAB Chair serves as an ASI cooperate officer and leads UUAB meetings while representing the board on the ASI Business and Finance Committee, ASI Board of Directors, and other campus organizations. The Chair must be available to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, including meeting attendance, in-office work, retreats, and other affiliated obligations. As an ASI corporate officer, the Chair is eligible for a scholarship intended to support student leaders with the cost of education.
