Rooted in Unity: Cultivating Community Through Campus Connection

ASI Student Government, in collaboration with the Culture and Institutional Excellence (CIX), proudly presents Rooted in Unity, an event created for students to share their lived experiences and build community with fellow students, staff, and faculty. 

Rooted in Unity will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the Chumash Auditorium (Building 65, Room 205) with the following schedule:  

  • 2:00 p.m. Event opens
  • 2:10–2:25 p.m. Introduction and ASI Presentation
  • 2:25–3:30 p.m. Conversations for Change Panel
  • 3:30–4:00 p.m. Open Forum and Closing

Rooted in Unity will be a space in which students can learn more about ongoing campus initiatives and engage in meaningful conversation with the campus community. 

Erandy Fernandez-Ortiz, ASI Secretary of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice, states, “I’m excited to see so many organizations on campus collaborating for an event highlighting how we all have the same goal of making this campus better every day.. 

Rooted in Unity is open to all students, staff, and faculty, and attendees are welcome to joining throughout the event. There is no registration required for this event.
