Your Fall Wellness Guide: Events to Rest, Reflect, and Reconnect

This fall quarter, ASI Wellness invites you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself through a lineup of engaging events designed to support your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. From creative expression and mindful movement to moments of rest, these events are designed to help you slow down and show up for yourself.  

 

Unwind & Refill 

Start the quarter with calm vibes at this welcome back event. Unwind & Refill offers students a chance to build their own personalized wellness kits with items like tea bags, protein bars, stickers, and self-care supplies. Stop by on either day to take a moment for yourself and “fill your own bucket” before the quarter kicks into full gear.

Walk into Fall 

Take a step toward wellness! In collaboration with PULSE, this guided walk invites students to connect with the outdoors and each other while engaging in mindful movement.

  • Time: 4–5:15 p.m. 
  • Location: Recreation Center Plaza (Building 43) 

Affirmation Flow–Yoga Workshop 

Step onto your mat and into your power with this uplifting yoga experience. Designed in collaboration with ASI Fitness, this workshop pairs movement with positive affirmations displayed across mirrors. You’ll be guided through a rejuvenating flow while being reminded of your strength, focus, and potential.

  • Location: Recreation Center Studio 2 (Building 43, Room 213) 

Mindful Mapping—DIY Vision Boards 

Channel your creativity and set your intentions by crafting your own vision board. All supplies, including magazines, paper, scissors, markers, and more are provided. Whether you’re mapping out goals or manifesting a mindset, this is your chance to pause and get inspired.

  • Time: 3–4 p.m.

Hydration 101 Workshop 

You drink water, but are you hydrated? This research-backed workshop explores how proper hydration affects everything from brain function to energy levels. Swing by to learn simple hydration tips and enjoy free electrolytes.

  • Location: Recreation Center Training Room (Building 43, Room 109) 

Zen Doodles & Breathing Tools 

Slow down and reset with a creative twist. This workshop, co-hosted by the ASI Craft Center, invites you to explore the calming power of doodling while learning helpful breathing techniques for managing stress. No art experience needed, just come ready to unwind.

Brain Food: Create Your Own Trail Mix 

Snacking meets science in this Nutrition Club collaboration focused on fueling your body and brain. Learn about nutrient-dense snacks that promote focus and energy, then craft your own custom trail mix using a variety of healthy ingredients.

  • Time: 11 a.m.–noon 
  • Location: Recreation Center Training Room (Building 43, Room 109) 

Mind Meets Mat: Restorative Yoga & Journaling 

Unplug and recharge with this peaceful combination of guided yoga and reflective journaling. Journals will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. This is your space to breathe deeply, move gently, and connect with yourself.

  • Time: 5:15–7 p.m. 
  • Location: Recreation Center (Studio 2, Room 213) 

A Nervous System Reset 

Feeling overwhelmed? This educational workshop dives into how the nervous system works and how you can calm it down. Learn about breathwork, the parasympathetic nervous system, and simple practices that can help reduce anxiety and restore balance.

  • Time: 3–4 p.m. 
  • Location: Recreation Center Training Room (Building 43, Room 109) 

Crochet the Stress Away 

De-stress before finals by picking up a new hobby. This beginner friendly crochet session will walk you through the basics in a relaxing environment. All materials are provided, just bring your curiosity and enjoy a cozy study break.

  • Time: noon–2 p.m. 
  • Location: Recreation Center Training Room (Building 43, Room 109) 

Relaxation Room & Study Space

Need a peaceful place to unwind or focus? Visit the Relaxation Room during finals season for a quiet atmosphere complete with stress toys, aromatherapy, pillows, meditation music, and more. Whether you’re studying or napping, this space is your finals week sanctuary.  

  • Date: Dec. 1–12 
  • Time: Open during Recreation Center hours 
  • Location: Recreation Center Training Room (Building 43, Room 109)
