Summer is in full swing, and the Cal Poly Recreation Center is excited to offer an array of promotions and classes to all the members of the Cal Poly community! Whether you’re looking to stay fit, learn something new, or just have fun with friends and family, here is everything you will need to know for summer at the Recreation Center!
Summer Hours
July 17 – Sept. 15, 2024
- Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Friday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- CLOSED Sept. 2, 2024 (Labor Day)
SLO Days Supporters Pass
For new Mustangs and their supporters, we invite you to explore and enjoy our facilities with a special $10 Guest Day Pass to the Cal Poly Recreation Center!
- Who is it for? SLO Days attendees
- Where do I get one? Purchase at the Recreation Center front desk
- Passes are valid for the day of purchase only
Family Fun Days
Thursday through Sunday, members are invited to host family and friends to enjoy summer fun at the Recreation Center, up to two adults and six children per member.
- June 20 – Sept. 1, 2024
- Adults (16+ years) $10 each or $120 for a 44-day pass
- Children (0-15 years) $5 each or $60 for a 44-day pass
- Leisure pool, sand volleyball, basketball, racquetball, and more!
Summer Memberships
Staying in town for the summer? Memberships will be required for all students from June 24 – Sept. 15, 2024.
- $45 a month + two free guest passes per month purchased
- Access to all amenities, including the pools and fitness classes

Alumni Memberships
For all the winter and spring graduates, we have a gift for you: Buy two months, get the third month free to Recreation Center!
- $100 for three months + Two free guest passes per month
- Available for 2024 winter and spring Cal Poly graduates

Fitness Classes
From June 24 – Sept. 6, 2024, rejoin us for fun workouts designed to challenge and motivate you. Whether you are looking to challenge yourself with High Intensity Interval Training, or find your zen with Focus Yoga, we have something for everyone!

Recreation Center Closures
Pardon our dust as we make improvements to maintain the high standard for the facility and member experience at the Recreation Center Main Gym! The Main Gym, North/South Gyms, Studio 1, and Poly Escapes Climbing Park will be closed over the summer. Breakaway fitness classes will be temporarily held in the Training Room (Room 109).
Poly Escapes Rental Center
Need gear for your summer fun? The Poly Escapes Rental Center is open throughout the summer quarter, offering low-cost gear rentals to equip any adventure including kayaks, backpacks, tents, and more! All rentals are 50% Off Tuesday–Thursday with the Summer Special!
