Steve Madera

Steve Madera is a second-year civil engineering major. Born and raised in Los Angeles before moving to Santa Maria, he is passionate about making campus a more enjoyable place for students through leadership and involvement in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. This past summer, Steve worked as a transportation engineering intern with the City of San Luis Obispo, where he developed his skills in improving people’s experiences through engineering. Outside of academics, he enjoys going to the gym, spending days at the beach, and playing volleyball and pickleball.
