2026–27 ASI President and Board of Directors Election Results

San Luis Obispo, Calif. 04/23/2026 — The 2026–27 Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) presidential and Board of Directors winners were revealed today at noon, Tanner Schinderle was announced as the 2026–27 ASI president. From the College of Liberal Arts, Tanner is a third year Political Science major.

Tanner Schinderle received 4,103 votes. A total of 4,394 students voted in our 2026–27 elections through their Cal Poly Portal and the ASI website from Tuesday, April 21 at 8 a.m. through Thursday, April 23 at 8 a.m.

There were 23 students that won seats representing their college on the ASI Board of Directors. One seat on the Board of Directors is still pending write-in candidacy verification at the time of the election announcement. The board serves as the official voice of Cal Poly students regarding student advocacy efforts and ASI corporate activity. Winter quarter enrollment numbers determine the number of board seats for the following academic year.

The 2026–27 board members and their colleges are as follows:

Bailey College of Science and Mathematics (Four Seats)

  1. Ginger O’Grady, with 239 votes
  2. Sophia Gonzalez, with 198 votes
  3. Valentina Campos, with 177 votes
  4. Karissa Yeung, with 2 votes (Write-in Candidate)*

College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (Four Seats)

  1. Olivia Short, with 275 votes
  2. Hanna Birdsong, with 249 votes
  3. Liz Quintero-Rubio, with 206 votes
  4. Alli Aguiar, with 205 votes

College of Architecture and Environmental Design (Three Seats)

  1. Samantha Katz, with 159 votes
  2. Stone Ramage, with 144 votes
  3. Benjamin Muro, with 113 votes

College of Engineering (Five Seats)

  1. Nimisha Thakur, with 328 votes
  2. Jackson Flath, with 269 votes
  3. Naomi Jung, with 251 votes
  4. Anahi Ramos, with 205 votes
  5. Diego Pardo, with 151 votes

College of Liberal Arts (Four Seats)

  1. Hudson Kammerer, with 325 votes
  2. Addison Godfrey, with 210 votes
  3. Donya Ahmady, with 143 votes
  4. Diego Castillo, with 128 votes

 

Orfalea College of Business (Four Seats)

  1. 1Sophie Gunter, with 208 votes

  3. 3. Tommy Fewel, with 183 votes
