ASI Aquatics
Make a splash this quarter with ASI Aquatics! Whether you’re looking to build strength, refine technique, or boost your confidence in the water, our aquatics programs are designed to support swimmers of all levels. SwimFit offers intermediate to advanced swimmers personalized coaching to help elevate their goals, improve endurance, and sharpen stroke technique. For those seeking more individualized attention, Personal Aquatics Training provides one-on-one sessions focused on stroke development and essential water safety skills, tailored to your unique ability level. Certification opportunities are also available this quarter, including CPR, Lifeguard, and SCUBA courses.
Registration for aquatic programs opens Dec. 1 at midnight on the ASI Access, so don’t miss your chance to gain valuable skills and expand your aquatic knowledge!
ASI Craft Center
The Craft Center provides a range of fun, affordable, and instructor-led crafts. Register on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 8 a.m. on the ASI website.
- 6-week courses: Ceramics— hand building, ceramics— wheel throwing, jewelry making, leatherworking, painting, sewing, stained glass, stamp making, and surfboard shaping.
- Workshop offerings: Cyanotype, glass fusing, leatherworking, and stamp making.
- Studio Passes: Ceramics, sewing, stained glass, and surfboard shaping.

- Vision Board Making: Join ASI Events and ASI Wellness for Vision Board Making! Visit The Lounge at the University Union (Building 65, Room 119) on Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 5–7 p.m. to set intentions, stay motivated, and visualize success for the new year.
- Trivia Nights: Test your knowledge and win awesome prizes while enjoying free Woodstock’s Pizza! Join ASI Events at The Lounge at the University Union (Building 65, Room 119) on select Tuesdays— Jan. 20, Feb. 3, and Feb. 24, from 6:30–8 p.m.
- Acoustic Hours: Enjoy live music and free food at The Lounge at the University Union (Building 65, Room 119) during Acoustic Hours presented by ASI Events. Stop by on Thursday, Jan. 22, and Feb. 19, from 11 a.m.–noon!
- Bowling Night: ASI Events and ASI Intramural Sports have teamed up for a fun-filled evening of strikes and spares at Bowling Night! Enjoy a tournament-style competition at Mustang Lanes (Building 65, Room 118) on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from 5:30–9 p.m.
- Self-Care Social: Treat yourself to self-care and focus on relaxation at ASI Event’s Self Care Social! Visit the Julian A. McPhee University Union Plaza on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 1–3 p.m.
- Build a Bouquet: Feel the love with ASI Events Build a Bouquet! Swing by on Friday, Feb. 13, from 5–7 p.m. in the Chumash Auditorium (Building 65, Room 205).
- Hobby Horse: ASI Events, ASI Intramural Sports, and Cal Poly Rodeo are excited to host Hobby Horse! Stop by the Cal Poly Recreation Center Main Gym (Building 43) on Friday, Feb. 27, from 7–10 p.m.
- Casino Night: ASI Events presents Casino Night! You won’t want to miss this— visit the Chumash Auditorium (Building 65, Room 205) on Wednesday, March 4, from 7 p.m.–midnight.
- Study & Snack: On Monday, March 9, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., stop by the lobby of the Performing Arts Center Lobby (PAC) for complimentary food, coffee, tea, scantrons, and a quiet place to study at Study and Snack!
ASI Fitness
Winter quarter is here, and so is a fresh lineup of fitness classes to help you stay active and energized! Whether you’re looking to boost your endurance in Breakaway or find your flow in Hatha Yoga, ASI Fitness has a class that fits your goals. Drop in or reserve your spot through the ASI Access App and keep your fitness journey going strong!
ASI Intramural Sports
Check out ASI Intramural Sports to learn about registration and the Fusion Play platform. Winter quarter registration opens on Dec. 1 at 5 p.m., and spots go fast, so mark your calendar!
Note: Registration for Intramural Sports Tournaments requires the purchase of a Player Pass or One-Day Tournament Pass.

ASI Poly Escapes
Registration opens on Dec. 1 at 8 a.m. on the ASI Access App or Poly Escapes Page.
- Outdoor Leadership Program: This program teaches essential outdoor skills and provides certifications that prepare you to confidently lead others in outdoor settings. Date: Jan. 15–Feb. 19
- Cosmic Climbing: The Climbing Park will transform into a glowing cosmic space with blacklights, LED ropes, and neon décor. Climbers are encouraged to wear bright or white clothing. Music, hot drinks, and snacks will be available, and all normal safety procedures will remain in place. Date: Feb. 26 from 7–9 p.m.
- Poly Escapes and ASI Craft Center—Rope Recrafting: Participants will work with a Craft Center instructor and Poly Escapes staff to give retired climbing ropes a new life. This hands-on workshop teaches rug weaving, rope cutting, gluing, and useful knots to create unique handcrafted pieces. Date: Feb. 20 from 2–4 p.m.

Your well–being is our priority. ASI Wellness offers a variety of programs designed to support your physical, mental, and emotional health throughout the quarter.
- Vision Board Making: Join ASI Events and ASI Wellness for Vision Board Making! Visit The Lounge at the University Union (Building 65, Room 119) on Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 5–7 p.m.
- Fill Your Bucket: This drop-in wellness event offers students a chance to recharge with free self-care goodies. Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 21 from 3–4:30 p.m.
- ASI Wellness and PULSE: The Planning Corner: On Jan. 26, stop by the Cal Poly Recreation Center lobby to pick up a free planner, decorate it, and learn simple tips to stay on track this winter.
- Yoga: Unwind & Align: Breath, stretch, and find your flow on Feb. 2 at this rejuvenating yoga session designed to help you release tension and restore balance.
- Valentine’s Origami Flower Workshop: In collaboration with the ASI Craft Center, ASI Wellness invites you to a Valentine’s Day–themed origami flower workshop on Feb. 11 at the Craft Center.
- Beat the Winter Blues: Join ASI Wellness on Feb. 16 at the Cal Poly Recreation Center Lobby for this interactive workshop to learn practical strategies for maintaining your mental health during the darker months.
- Relaxation & Study Room: The Relaxation & Study Room offers a peaceful space to decompress. Stop by anytime on March 16–20 in the Cal Poly Recreation Center Training Room during Recreation Center hours.
ASI Student Government
ASI Student Government has an exciting lineup of events and opportunities to support students throughout winter quarter. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Let’s Hear It (Off-Campus Housing): Visit Student Government on Jan. 13, 15, 20, and 22 from 10 a.m.–noon in the University Union Plaza to speak directly about off-housing topics and take the survey!
3rd Annual ASI Winter Club Fair: Enjoy free Crumbl Cookies while learning how to make the most of your time at Cal Poly! The Winter Club Fair is happening Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Chumash Auditorium (Building 65).
Professional Headshots: Bring your best smile and receive a free professional headshot with no registration needed! This will be held in University Union Room 220 on Jan. 20–22 from 2–4 p.m. each day.
Better Together Event: Take a break from midterms to enjoy free SLODOCO, and make a friendship bracelet, decorate a journal, or write a postcard! This event will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 4–6 p.m. in the University Union Plaza.
Spirit Day: Spirit Day is a celebration of the long and vibrant history that recognizes Cal Poly being founded 125 years ago! It will be held on Thursday, March 5, 11 a.m.–1 p.m in the University Union Plaza. There will be food, games, and booths from different organizations!
