Student Government will host Meet Your Candidates Day on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in University Union Plaza.
This event gives students the opportunity to meet candidates running for local and state public office, including candidates for San Luis Obispo City Council, San Luis Obispo Mayor, and California State Assembly. Students can learn more about local government, and ask questions about issues that matter to them. Candidates will have tables in the plaza, and students are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, and engage in conversation.
Example questions will be available for students. Students who speak with one or more candidates will receive a SLODoCo donut while supplies last. Students will also have the opportunity to register to vote or check their voter registration.
