Whether you’re looking to become a lifeguard, explore the ocean with SCUBA diving, or gain lifesaving CPR knowledge, these courses provide hands-on training and official American Red Cross or PADI certification.
American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
What You’ll Learn: Prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies while mastering CPR/AED/First Aid techniques.
Course Dates: Two sessions available in April and May 2025 (online + three in-person sessions).
Where: Cal Poly Recreation Center Lap Pool and Training Room.
Cost: $225.00
Prerequisites: Swimming skills required (full details on the registration page).
PADI SCUBA Certification Course
What You’ll Learn: Gain the skills and confidence for open-water diving with expert instructors.
Course Dates: Two sessions available in April and May 2025 (includes online lessons, pool training, and ocean dives).
Where: Cal Poly Recreation Center Lap Pool and Local Ocean Dive Site (TBA).
Cost: $420.00 (Additional personal equipment required).
Prerequisites: Must complete a medical waiver and online module before in-person training.
American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
What You’ll Learn: Essential lifesaving skills for adults and children, including CPR, first aid, and AED use.
Course Dates: Three sessions available in April, May, and June 2025 (online + in-person session).
Cost: $75.00
