Winter quarter is here and with it comes a fresh lineup of energizing and empowering fitness classes! Whether you’re starting a new wellness routine, leveling up your training, or looking for a fun way to stay active with friends, this winter schedule offers something for everybody and every fitness goal.

 

The following is your guide to the winter 2026 offerings, running Jan. 5–March 20, 2026:

Cardio Focus: Sweat, Strength, and Endurance

If you want to boost your energy and build cardiovascular endurance, our cardio–focused sessions are a perfect fit.

  • Breakaway (Reservation Required)
    • A dynamic cycling experience designed to push your limits with powerful climbs and intense sprints
  • Cross Training
    • A full–body athletic workout blending strength, agility, and cardio conditioning.
  • HIIT
    • High–intensity Interval Training to maximize calorie burn and challenge your endurance through explosive intervals.
  • LIIT
    • Low–Intensity Interval Training for those who want mindful conditioning without the high impact.

 

Strength & Tone: Build Power, Balance, and Control

Whether you’re strengthening foundational muscles or sculpting lean definition, these classes help you develop functional power and stability.

  • Barre Connect
    • Blends the grace of dance with the precision of Pilates and yoga for a total body toning experience that will leave you energized and balanced.
  • Body Pump (Reservation Required)
    • Weight–based strength training that targets every major muscle group with motivating choreography.
  • Contemporary Jazz
    • A creative blend of modern and jazz techniques that celebrate movement and flow.
  • Hip-Hop + Heels
    • A fun, confident movement class where rhythm, dance, and strength meet.
  • Sculpt Yoga
    • Mixes flowing yoga with interval–based cardio for a fiery fusion that strengthens and sculpts from head to toe.
  • TRX Suspension Training
    • Leverage your bodyweight to build strength, stability, and total body endurance.
  • 6-Pack Abs
    • A focused core session to strengthen and define the abdominals and stabilizing muscles.

 

Yoga: Connect, Flow, and Restore

Our yoga offerings support flexibility, mindfulness, strength, and breath-centered movement through a variety of styles.

  • Hatha Yoga
    • A grounding practice emphasizing alignment, breath, and controlled movement.
  • Power Flow
    • Delivers a vigorous, breath–driven workout that builds endurance and focus.
  • Vinyasa Flow
    • A fluid, breath-connected sequence that builds heat and promotes mindful movement.
  • Yoga Flow
    • A balanced class suitable for all levels, combining strength, flexibility, and relaxation.

 

Additional Class Offerings

These specialty classes offer unique movement experiences and skill-building opportunities.

  • Acro Yoga
    • Sunday | 5:30–7 p.m.
    • Location: Cal Poly Recreation Center Mat Room (043-0192)
    • Fee: $35/Quarter
    • Partner-based yoga that merges acrobatics, balance, and trust-building.
  • Kickboxing
    • Tuesday & Thursday | 6:45–7:45 p.m.
    • Location: Cal Poly Recreation Center Mat Room (043-0192)
    • Fee: $55/Quarter
    • A high-energy class that builds power, coordination, and cardio endurance through martial arts-inspired movement.
  • Shorin Ryu Karate
    • Monday & Wednesday | 6:45–7:45 p.m.
    • Location: Cal Poly Recreation Center Mat Room (043-0192)
    • Fee: $55/Quarter
    • Traditional karate emphasizing discipline, technique, and respectful practice.

 

Key Dates + Registration

Fee-based class registration is now open with classes running through March. Participants are encouraged to secure their spots early by registering through ASI Access or the ASI Fitness website. Reservations for select classes are required and can be made by following the step-by-step instructions outlined in the article “New Quarter, New Goals: Winter Fitness Reservations Return.” Registration for non-fee classes opens 24 hours in advance of each class. To ensure a smooth experience, please arrive on time for setup, bring the appropriate gear, and be ready to participate fully.
