The 2025-26 ASI Elections season is here! Candidates and their statements are available to be viewed here. Starting today, Cal Poly students can learn more about who is running to represent them as the 2025-26 ASI President and ASI Board of Directors.
Active campaigning is now underway, meaning you’ll start seeing campaign materials around campus, on social media, and be able to meet the candidates at ASI Elections events throughout April. This is all leading up to voting beginning on Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2025, at 8 a.m.
ASI Student Government plays a vital role in shaping student life at Cal Poly. The ASI President is the only at-large elected student leader at Cal Poly and acts as the official representative of ASI to Cal Poly administration and the general public. The ASI Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from each academic college that serve as the official voice of students and act as the corporate governing board for ASI. ASI Student Government leaders make up the governing bodies of ASI, determining policies, the use of the annual budget, and management of multiple campus facilities – working to ensure the voices of all Cal Poly students are heard. Now is your chance to learn about the candidates and take part in the 2025-26 ASI Elections!
Key Dates:
- Active Campaigning begins | Saturday, Apr. 12, 2025, at 5 p.m.
- ASI Presidential Debate | Thursday, Apr. 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the University Union Plaza. The debate will be live streamed by Mustang News.
- Candidate Meet & Greet | Monday, Apr. 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the University Union Plaza
- Election Voting Period | Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2025, at 8 a.m.–Thursday, Apr. 24, 2025, at 8 a.m.
- Election Announcement | Thursday, Apr. 24, 2025, at approximately noon in the University Union Plaza. Results will also be announced on the ASI website and ASI social media channels.
