Student Town Hall with President Armstrong

|

San Luis Obispo, Calif. 10/21/2024 –– Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is pleased to announce the upcoming Student Town Hall, co-hosted by Cal Poly President Jeffrey D. Armstrong and ASI President Ashleigh Spragins. This event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 11:10 a.m.–noon at The Pavilion (Building 19).

“ASI Student Government is excited to collaborate with President Armstrong to put on this event. Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to engage in issues that affect them and matter most,” stated Ashleigh Spragins, ASI President.

The Student Town Hall will be structured as a question-and-answer session, without a formal presentation. Students are encouraged to submit their inquiries before the event, allowing for an interactive discussion on the following key topics: the proposed integration with Cal Maritime, the shift to year-round operations, and the transition from quarters to semesters. President Armstrong will address these questions, with President Spragins moderating the discussion.

To help facilitate an insightful discussion, students should familiarize themselves with these initiatives beforehand. Helpful resources for these topics are available on the Student Town Hall event listing. Students should RSVP and submit questions about any of the topics beforehand through the Town Hall Form. The hope is for attendees to explore the potential impacts and benefits of integrating with Cal Maritime, gain insights into what year-round operations entail, and understand the implications of transitioning from quarters to semesters.
