Student Government Open Meetings

Want to know what is happening behind the scenes at Cal Poly? Every branch and committee meeting of ASI Student Government is open to the public. Whether you are interested in student initiatives, campus policies, or upcoming events, these meetings give you a chance to stay informed and have your voice heard. 

At the start of each meeting, students can participate in Open Forum which is a space for public comment where you can share ideas, concerns, or feedback directly with student leaders. 

Here is when and where meetings take place: 

Board of Directors 

  • Board of Directors Meeting: Biweekly, Wednesdays, 5–8 p.m. | University Union (Building 65, Room 220) 
  • Board of Directors Workshop: Weekly, Mondays, 5–7 p.m. | Cal Poly Recreation Center (Building 43, Room 109) 

University Union Advisory Board (UUAB) 

  • UUAB Meeting: Biweekly, Wednesdays, noon–2 p.m. | Cal Poly Recreation Center (Building 43, Room 109) 
  • UUAB Workshop: Biweekly, Mondays, noon–2 p.m. | Cal Poly Recreation Center (Building 43, Room 109) 

Committees 

  • External Affairs: Weekly, Tuesdays, 11 a.m.–noon | University Union (Building 65, Room 216) 
  • Business and Finance: Weekly, Mondays, 9–10 a.m. | University Union (Building 65, Room 109) 
  • Internal Review: Weekly, Thursdays, 11 a.m.–noon | University Union (Building 65, Room 212A) 
  • Recruitment and Elections: Weekly, Wednesdays, 9–10 a.m. | University Union (Building 65, Room 216) 
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ): Weekly, Wednesdays, 3–4 p.m. | University Union (Building 65, Room 212A) 

Executive Leadership 

  • Executive Cabinet: Weekly, Fridays, 10 a.m.–noon | University Union (Building 65, Room 219) 
  • Executive Staff: Weekly, Tuesdays, 6–7:30 p.m. | Cal Poly Recreation Center (Building 43, Room 109)

Open Meetings are your opportunity to see how decisions are made to enhance student life at Cal Poly. These gatherings emphasize collaboration, transparency, and student involvement in shaping campus life.
