Join ASI Events on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 7:30–8:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (Building 6) for a night full of laughter with Chris Redd! Chris Redd is a versatile Chicago-born talent known for his work in stand-up comedy, film, television, and music. He released his first one-hour comedy special, Why Am I Like This?, in 2022, which explores his journey through therapy and self-discovery. Redd has appeared in various projects, including Amazon’s Candy Cane Lane, Netflix’s Resurrected Rides, and co-created the Peacock series Bust Down. He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live for five seasons, won an Emmy in 2018 for his work on the show, and has performed stand-up across the U.S. and Europe. Additionally, Redd is involved in voice acting, including in Big Mouth and #1 Happy Family USA, and has appeared in films like Vampires vs. the Bronx and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
Venue Rules:
- MUST HAVE VALID STUDENT POLYCARD AND GOVERNMENT ID TO ENTER
- All attendees will be subject to a full pat down
- Any items being brought into the facility (including phone cases) will be searched
- NO re-entry/Ins & Outs
- NO bare feet (must be wearing shoes to enter)
- NO overnight camping or parking
- NO sitting on designated standing floor areas
- NO unauthorized vendors

- Bags (purses, backpacks, fanny packs, etc. – no exceptions)
- Water bottles of any kind
- Any items that could be used as projectiles
- Outside food or beverages
- Gum
- Cigarettes, e-Cigs, disposable E-Cigs or lighters
- Masks or costumes
- Stickers, flyers, banners, fan signs or large posters
- Balloons, balls, inflatables, or frisbees
- Laser pointers or devices
- Animals (disability service animals allowed)
- Paint pens, permanent markers, spray paint
- Weapons of any kind (includes pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.)
- Sunglasses, hats
- Cameras, GoPros, or selfie sticks
- Chapstick, lipstick, or lip-gloss
Authorized Items:
- Medically necessary items (proper paperwork needed)
Doors will open at 7 p.m., make sure to scan your ticket and be in your seat before 7:20 p.m. because after that, the waitlist line will be let in. This event will be free for all Cal Poly students with a valid PolyCard. Registration is required and will be live on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at noon. Individuals can register through our website.
