Olivia Short

Olivia Short is a fourth-year Environmental Management and Protection major from San Diego. She hopes to pursue a career at a public agency, collecting data and analyzing environmental policy. Olivia has been involved with ASI Student Government since her freshmen year at Cal Poly, and has held two positions as a CAFES representative on the ASI Board of Directors, Secretary of Health and Wellbeing on the ASI Executive Cabinet, and now is excited to Chair the ASI Board of Directors. She is passionate about making ASI Student Government accessible to all members of Cal Poly and being proactive about representing the needs of students. Her goals revolve around strong student advocacy, relational leadership, and supporting the student body to continue to improve the Cal Poly student experience. Outside of ASI, Olivia has worked as a Peer Leader at the Cal Poly Center for Leadership, co-facilitating leadership development workshops. She has also been an officer in two clubs; the Environmental Sciences Club and Poly Range and Wildlands club. She loves to hike, paint, and spend time at the beach during her free time.
