She/Her/Hers

Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga

Luna is a yoga teacher, yoga student, traveler, and lover of inspiration. Her journey toward yoga started with her love of travel. When she was 19, she took her first trip overseas to Egypt. The colors, smells, foods, people, and surroundings pulled her so deeply into two weeks of magical feelings that she knew it was how she wanted to spend her life. Fast forward to four years later and she was backpacking through Thailand solo when she realized that she also felt that magical feeling while practicing yoga. Instead of being inspired by her external surroundings though, she felt it from looking within. She felt it from focusing on her heart, creating space in her body, and ultimately connecting to a deeper part of herself. Luna has studied yoga and meditation with various schools and teachers around the world — a 200-hour yoga training in Vinyasa through Cleveland Yoga, a 200-hour training in Yin and Restorative through Yandara Yoga Institute in Bali, a kid’s yoga training through Kidding Around Yoga, and a 300-hour Earth Medicine yoga training with Sacred Paths Yoga in Costa Rica. As a teacher, her biggest intentions are to help students feel radiance, love, and inspiration within themselves. She just completed her master’s degree in counseling and guidance at Cal Poly and is excited to be teaching at the Recreation Center.
