Lisa is a Cal Poly graduate and has been a fitness instructor at the Cal Poly Recreation Center since 2012. She teaches Breakaway, TRX, and High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.). Lisa loves Breakaway as a way to get an excellent low-impact cardio workout in only 45 minutes. She also enjoys teaching TRX and H.I.I.T. because of the versatility of the exercises and the benefits of increased strength. Lisa values the encouragement and inspiration you get from working out in a group. Group exercise can be fun and motivational, and Lisa believes that taking the time to exercise is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and the benefits can last a lifetime. She also believes that exercise is a great way to balance the stress of school, work, and other responsibilities. For Lisa, exercise gives her more energy to do the other things she loves such as traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
