ASI Craft Center Refund Procedure

Class & Workshop Refunds

Refund percentages apply to registration fees only.

  • Refund requests submitted seven (7) or more calendar days before the class start date are eligible for a 100% refund.
  • Refund requests submitted fewer than seven (7) calendar days before the class start date are eligible for an 80% refund.
  • Once a class, workshop, or event has begun, refunds will not be issued.

Specialty & Limited-Capacity Classes

Due to limited enrollment, equipment availability, instructor preparation, and material costs, the following program areas have additional refund restrictions:

  • Leatherworking
  • Ceramics
  • Surfboard Shaping
  • Stained Glass

For these classes, refunds or transfers requested within seven (7) calendar days of the class start date may only be approved if the vacated seat can be filled.

Transfers

Requests to transfer into another class section may be accommodated when:

  • Space is available in the requested class, and
  • The original seat can be filled.

Transfers are not guaranteed and remain subject to ASI Craft Center approval.

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Failure to attend or complete a class or workshop
  • Requests submitted after a class, workshop, or event has begun
  • Personal dissatisfaction with progress, skill mastery, or lack of finished work

Retail Sales

All sales are final for:

  • Clay purchases
  • Materials and supplies sold by the ASI Craft Center
  • Retail merchandise
  • Makers Market purchases

Refunds or exchanges will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind
  • Dissatisfaction with vendor products
  • Unused clay/supplies

The ASI Craft Center is not responsible for products sold by independent Makers Market vendors.

ASI Craft Center Cancellations

If the ASI Craft Center cancels a class, workshop, or event for any reason, participants will receive a full refund.

Exceptions

In exceptional or extenuating circumstances, including verified medical emergencies, death in the immediate family, university closures, administrative error, or other unforeseen events, refunds outside the standard policy may be approved at the discretion of the Craft Center Coordinator and/or ASI Director of Finance.
