ASI Recreational Sports
Keegan joined ASI in fall 2024 as the Coordinator – Recreational Sports, overseeing the Intramural Sports and Open Recreation programs. In this role, he leads a team of student staff, including managers, supervisors, and officials, to develop, manage, and operate these programs, providing Cal Poly students with opportunities for physical activity.
Originally from North Carolina, Keegan moved to San Luis Obispo in 2013 and graduated from Cal Poly in 2016 with a degree in kinesiology. While a student, he worked as a personal trainer at the San Luis Obispo County YMCA, where he later became the Sports and Wellness Director. In this role, he managed youth and adult sports, fitness programs, and wellness initiatives. After his time at the YMCA, Keegan spent six years in sales before joining ASI.
Passionate about leadership and innovation, Keegan is eager to work with student staff to develop their professional and leadership skills while expanding the range of sports and activities available to the Cal Poly community. Guided by the motto “Live the Width,” he strives to embrace life’s opportunities to the fullest. Outside of work, Keegan enjoys camping, backpacking, cooking, attending sporting events, and spending time with his dog.
