Dora Mountain

Dora is a fan of all things fun and creative. She cannot help but approach life through the lens of an art director — striving to bring order to chaos with strong design and cohesive branding. Her passions include travel, art, food, concerts, and learning. Dora graduated from Cal Poly with a bachelor’s degree in art and design, graphic design concentration. As she worked throughout college and beyond, Dora found she enjoyed being involved in the planning and execution of events or campaigns, in addition to setting the look through art and design. She applied her lifelong appreciation for advertising and creating personal connections into her roles of marketing and event coordination with New Times Media Group and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. In her role as coordinator, Dora supervises the assistant coordinator of communications, assistant coordinator of marketing and outreach, lead graphic designer, and the graphic design students who all lend their talents to the brand, visuals, and communication of ASI. She received ASI’s Rookie of the Year award in her first year with the organization in 2016 and ASI’s Calm in the Eye of the Storm award in 2021. She continues to enjoy working with her team and mentoring students to push their creativity and talents further. Dora knows she will never rid the world of low-resolution clip art or bad typography but will be relentless in her efforts to try.
