It’s On Us 2025

San Luis Obispo, Calif. 04/14/2025 – Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Student Government and Campus Health & Wellbeing’s SAFER are partnering to present It’s On Us, a week-long initiative at Cal Poly focused on education, engagement, and support for survivors during Sexual Assault Action Month.
Launched in 2014, It’s On Us is the nation’s largest nonprofit program focused on campus sexual assault prevention. This year’s theme, Communities Act Together, encourages students to take collective action against sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
Monday, Apr. 21 – Bracelets and Boba, from 2–4 p.m. in the University Union Plaza. Craft friendship bracelets, enjoy free boba from Sequel Tea, and pledge your support for survivors. Wristbands and food vouchers for the week will be available.
Tuesday, Apr. 22 – “Step Up to the Plate” Baseball Tailgate, from 3–5 p.m. at the Lower Sports Complex. Take the pledge to be an active bystander, play games, and enter a cornhole tournament for a chance to win custom boards.
Wednesday, Apr. 23 – Denim Day Preview, from 11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. on Dexter Lawn. Come together to learn about the International Day of Action against victim blaming. Decorate denim totes, hats, and patches, and thrift stylish pieces. Enjoy giveaways and interactive stations focused on awareness and empowerment.
Thursday, Apr. 24 – Take Back the Night, from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at the University Union Plaza. This national survivor solidarity event features free food, music, and resource booths. The evening will conclude with a powerful solidarity march and candlelight vigil in honor of survivors and those affected by sexual violence.
