This winter, ASI Events is bringing you a variety of exciting activities to keep you entertained and engaged. Whether you’re looking for a fun night with friends or a way to unwind during finals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Trivia Nights
Start the winter season off with Trivia Nights, where students can compete for prizes, including University Store merchandise, while enjoying free Woodstocks Pizza. These events will be held in The Lounge at the University Union (Bldg. 65, Rm. 119) on select Tuesdays, Jan. 14, Jan. 28, and Feb. 18, from 6–8 p.m.
Snow Day
If you’re craving winter fun, don’t miss out on Snow Day on Thursday, Jan. 23 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Head over to the University Union Plaza for a snow slide, free SloDoCo Donuts, Starbucks hot chocolate, beanies, and all things winter.
Acoustic Lounge
For a more relaxing vibe, Acoustic Lounge on Wednesday, Jan. 29 offers a chill afternoon of music. From 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in The Lounge at the University Union (Bldg. 65, Rm. 119) enjoy live performances from three student bands along with free food in a laid-back setting.
Line Dancing
If you’ve ever wanted to try Line Dancing, Monday, Feb. 3 is your chance! Head to the Cal Poly Recreation Center Multi-Activity Center (MAC) from 6–8 p.m. to learn the steps, have fun, and enjoy free food and drinks while you master this classic dance style.
Build a Bouquet
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, join ASI Events for Build a Bouquet on Thursday, Feb. 13. Head to the Chumash Auditorium (Building 65) from 7–8 p.m. to create your own floral arrangement with flowers from the Cal Poly Plant Shop while enjoying festive boba drinks from Sequel Tea.
Hobby Horse
On Friday, Feb. 28, get ready for some friendly competition at the Hobby Horse event. Join us at the Cal Poly Recreation Center from 6–10 p.m. for an evening of individual and team relays, solo and team performances, and a chance to win prizes like tickets to the Poly Royal Rodeo. Don’t forget to sign up through IM Leagues starting Feb. 14. Food vendors including Efren’s Mexican Restaurant and Slo Mama Sweets will be on hand to fuel the fun.
Study & Snack
Finally, for those preparing for finals, Study & Snack is the perfect way to stay fueled and focused. On Monday, March 17, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., stop by the lobby of the Performing Arts Center for complimentary food, coffee, scantrons, and a quiet place to study.
