ASI Events Presents: A Boogie Wit da Hoodie

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie is coming to Cal Poly on Wednesday, May 14 at the Cal Poly Recreation Center Main Gym (Building 43). Doors will be open 6:30–8:45 p.m., student DJ at 7:20 p.m., followed by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie at 8:30 p.m. Registration is required and will open on the ASI Events website on Thursday, May 8 at noon. As always, free for students.  

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, born Artist Dubose from the Bronx, broke onto the rap scene in 2016 with his mixtape ARTIST. He quickly rose to fame with platinum-certified singles like “Drowning” featuring Kodak Black and “Look Back At It,” and earned a spot in XXL’s 2017 Freshman Class. His debut album THE BIGGER ARTIST reached the Billboard Top 5, and his 2x platinum follow-up HOODIE SZN spent three weeks at #1. Known for his melodic style and emotional lyrics, A Boogie continued his rise with Artist 2.0, featuring major artists and debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200. He later performed on The Tonight Show with H.E.R. and dropped “24 Hours” with Lil Durk in 2021. 

Venue Rules: 

  • Must have valid PolyCard and government ID to enter 
  • All attendees will be subject to a full pat down 
  • Any items being brought into the facility (including phone cases) will be searched 
  • NO re-entry/ins & outs 
  • NO bare feet (must be wearing shoes to enter) 
  • NO overnight camping or parking 
  • NO unauthorized vendors 

Prohibited Items: 

  • Bags (purses, backpacks, fanny packs, etc. – expectations) 
  • Water bottles or any kind 
  • Any items that could be used as projectiles 
  • Outside food or beverages 
  • Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, disposable e-cigarettes, or lighters 
  • Masks or costumes 
  • Stickers, flyers, banners, fan signs or large posters 
  • Balloons, balls, inflatables, or frisbees 
  • Laser pointers or devices 
  • Gum 
  • Animals (disability service animals allowed) 
  • Paint pens, permanent makers, spray paint 
  • Weapons of any kind (includes pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.) 
  • Sunglasses, hats 
  • Cameras, GoPros, or selfie sticks 
  • ChapStick, lipstick, or lip-gloss 

Authorized Items: 

  • Medically necessary items (proper paperwork needed) 

Confiscated items will not be returned. ASI is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
