The 14th Annual Mustang Mile!

Mark your calendar! On Wednesday, May 6, from 6:30–8 p.m., the Cal Poly community will come together for the 14th Annual Mustang Mile. Starting on the Health Center Lawn (near Building 27), the course will track throughout the Cal Poly campus. Mustang Mile is a movement for wellness, remembrance, and positive change.

This 5K of fun honors the memory of Carson Starkey, who lost his life to alcohol poisoning after a fraternity hazing incident. In collaboration with Overdose Prevention, PULSE, Friday Night Live, and Mustangs for Recovery, Mustang Mile hopes to provide health and wellness resources that educate students on the signs of alcohol poisoning and the dangers of binge drinking.

Registration is required and is completely free! All Cal Poly students are encouraged to participate—so grab a team of friends and join the fun! Costumes are encouraged!

Registration will be open Monday, April 20, at noon until Friday, May 1, at 5 p.m. through the Cal Poly Ticket Office.  A waiver will be routed upon registration and must be signed by all participants prior to Tuesday, May 5 at 5 p.m. to receive a bib. Participants must check in at the Cal Poly Recreation Center Lobby (Building 43, Room 111) on the day of the event, prior to the start.

Free Woodstock’s Pizza, sweets, t-shirts, hats, and musical entertainment will be available for attendees to enjoy after the finish line.

We hope to see you there! Remember to stay tuned and subscribe to the ASI Events newsletter and follow us on Instagram for all the fun happenings around campus!
