Join us for a day of sun, surf, and sand at Pismo Beach! Whether you’re catching your first wave or already comfortable on a board, this trip is the perfect way to relax and enjoy California’s Central Coast from the oceanside.

Details

No surfing experience necessary, but comfort with treading water and wading in water above shoulder height is required.

Meet at the Recreation Center on Saturday morning to pack-up the vehicles and head out to Pismo Beach; transportation provided by ASI. Activities include beginner surfing lessons, open surf time, and games on the beach.

Enjoy lunch and return to campus after a day of riding waves.

What's Included

Swimsuit
Comfortable shoes for walking on the beach
Change of clothes to keep warm
Daypack
Personal snacks
Water bottle
Sunscreen, sunhat, and sunglasses
Towel
Wetsuit (if you own one)
Wetsuit booties (if you own a pair)
An extensive gear list will be provided at the mandatory pre-trip meeting. Trip leaders will contact participants in advance.
