Cast your line in hopes of catching local favorites like perch, rockfish, and halibut while learning hands-on techniques from expert instructors and enjoying stunning ocean views. Afterward, unwind with a beachside lunch before returning to campus—bringing with you fresh coastal air, new skills, and great memories from a day by the sea.

Details

No fishing experience necessary, but experienced fisherpersons are welcomed!

Meet at the Recreation Center Saturday morning and depart for Cayucos or Pismo Beach (pending weather conditions); transportation provided by ASI. Spend the day casting lines, learning fishing techniques, and enjoying the scenic coastal views.

Enjoy a provided lunch on the beach. The trip concludes with a return to campus, filled with memories from a day on the coast.
