Come craft and relax by the beach in San Simeon! Whether you’re an art major or a seasoned doodler, this trip is a great opportunity to get outside, make new friends, and tap into your creative side. Campfires, lively games, multiple art mediums, and seaside relaxation—what’s not to love?

Details
Participants will meet on campus at the Recreation Center on Friday afternoon and leave for San Simeon campground. All transportation is provided by ASI. Once at the Creek Campground, we will set up our campsite, have an optional swim and beach hang out, then enjoy dinner and crafting before bed. Saturday morning we will wake up, have breakfast and hot drinks, pack up camp, then craft/paint on the beach until campground check out. After check out, we will depart the Creek Campground and enjoy some more artsy beach time and lunch before stopping by Harmony Headlands for a short hike. Participants can expect to be back on campus by 5:00pm on Saturday.
Campsite information: the Creek Campground is a public campground outside of San Simeon. The Creek Campground has flush toilets, potable water, and a dish washing area. There is limited cell service at the Creek Campground, so participants should expect to be out of service overnight.
