Tanner Schinderle

Tanner Schinderle is a fourth-year Political Science major with a Pre-Law Concentration. Originally from Sacramento, CA, Tanner has always had a passion for serving and advocating for others. This will be Tanner's third year in ASI Student Government. Last year, Tanner served as the ASI Chief of Staff, working directly with the ASI President on all initiatives and advocacy efforts out of student government. Throughout the year, Tanner oversaw over 60 student-led initiatives that impacted students across the campus. Most notably, Tanner launched the Grocery Shuttle program, which has since provided thousands of rides to students accessing grocery stores. At the end of the 2025–26 Academic year, Tanner was awarded the CSU Student Advocate of the Year Award presented by the Cal State Student Association. Outside of ASI, Tanner previously interned at the California State Assembly, where he had a hands-on opportunity to learn about public service, policymaking, and constituent representation. Tanner's Platform for president focused on affordability, resources, community, and action. He is committed to reducing barriers for students, expanding access to essential resources, fostering a stronger sense of belonging, and ensuring student voices remain at the center of decision-making.
