Branch: Executive Cabinet
Originally from Fresno, CA, Sydnie Sanchez is a second-year business administration major with a concentration in finance at Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business. As Secretary of Student Life on the ASI Executive Cabinet, Sydnie is committed to cultivating an inclusive and vibrant campus environment through student-centered events, forums, and partnerships that enhance engagement and belonging.
This past summer, Sydnie served as a SLO Days Leader with Cal Poly’s New Student & Transition Programs, where she helped welcome and guide over 4,500 incoming students and their supporters. Through leading orientation sessions, fostering inclusive community-building activities, and facilitating Q&A panels, she developed a deeper passion for student advocacy and connection.
In addition to her work with ASI, Sydnie is an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional co-ed business fraternity. She currently serves on the fraternity’s recruitment committee, where she plays a key role in planning and executing events to engage potential new members and grow the chapter with purpose and inclusivity.
Outside of her campus roles, Sydnie enjoys exploring all that San Luis Obispo has to offer—especially strolling through the weekly farmers markets, grabbing dinner with friends at Finney’s, and tanning at the beach whenever she can. She is excited to continue uplifting the student experience and creating welcoming opportunities for every Mustang to thrive.
