Regina has been involved with disability activism and the Disability Resource Center (DRC) on campus since their freshman year at Cal Poly. They are the outreach lead and a founding member of the Disability Alliance at Cal Poly. They are passionate about increasing accessibility on and off-campus to create the most inclusive environment possible for fellow disabled peers. They work with other disabled students to create and present disability and accessibility training seminars to various entities on campus. In their second term as the Secretary of Accessibility they hope to use their disability and activism knowledge in partnership with the community to create a more accessible campus—a place where students can feel pride in all their identities and supported in them. Outside of ASI and academics, Regina enjoys swimming, dancing, and cooking. They are looking forward to working with the community to fix accessibility issues, inform people about disability, and champion disability pride. Please contact Regina with any suggestions on how to make our campus more accessible and inclusive to everyone in the disability community and beyond.
