He/Him
ASI President
Fourth-year, Bioresource and Agricultural Engineering, College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences
Branch: Executive Cabinet
Marc Cabeliza is a fourth-year bioresource and agricultural engineering major with a minor in agricultural business. He was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to Santa Maria, California when he was nine years old. Growing up, Marc always wanted to be an engineer and follow in the footsteps of his dad. This summer, he is interning at 4Creeks, a civil engineering firm in San Luis Obispo where he gets to work on building and designing dairy digesters and biofiltration systems.
He served as a former Future Farmers of America State Officer, where his passion for leadership began. He took a gap year between high school and college to travel around California, teaching high schoolers about leadership and advocating for the agriculture industry. Last year, he served as the University Union Advisory Board Chair, and some of the projects he was able to lead were new pickleball courts, free menstrual products in ASI facilities, and launch of the free headshot program.
Marc's platforms for his presidential campaign were student life, safety, support, and advocacy. He hopes to help break down accessibility barriers and provide more opportunities and resources for students to succeed at Cal Poly despite all the challenges they will face with multiple transitions.
Marc is a big Dodgers and Lakers fan! He loves to play basketball, volleyball, and long walks on the beach in his free time.
