Jett Palmer

Jett Palmer represents the Bailey College of Science and Mathematics on the ASI Board of Directors and serves as Chair of the ASI Cal Maritime Integration Ad Hoc Committee. A fourth-year blended master’s student studying statistics, Jett’s published research focuses on statistics pedagogy and human behavior. He is a two-time awardee of Cal Poly DataFest, recognized for his analytical rigor and critical thinking.

Jett has founded two 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and has five years of experience holding directorship on nonprofit boards. Within ASI, he has served as Co-Chair of the Internal Review Committee and Chair of the Bylaw Review Ad Hoc Committee. In these roles, Jett facilitated a comprehensive evaluation of ASI’s internal regulations and ensured compliance with local, state, and federal policies. For his contributions, he received the Kathy Storelli “Use Your Voice” Scholarship for outstanding service to student government.

During his tenure, Jett has sponsored and passed five legislative items through the Board of Directors focused on legal operations, strategic partnerships, and student well-being. He brings to the Board a deep commitment to shared governance and organizational integrity.
