Ashleigh Spragins, President of Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc., is a dedicated leader in strategic management and student advocacy. Representing over 22,000 students, she strives always to be present and engaged, ensuring she effectively represents her students. This year, her goals are to increase ASI's transparency, make student fees more efficient, and enhance student engagement. As President, Ashleigh sets the strategic direction for ASI, leads initiatives to enhance student life, and represents student interests on university committees. She previously served on the ASI Board of Directors, advocating for student concerns about campus safety and extended study facility hours.
In life outside ASI, Ashleigh serves on the Cal Poly Partners (Corporation) Board, reflecting the student voice in supporting Cal Poly's "Learn by Doing" initiatives. She is also on the California State Student Association Board of Directors, a role that sees her representing Cal Poly in decision-making impacting all California State Universities and their students. In this role, she also serves on the Finance Committee. As Vice President of Finance for Delta Gamma Sorority, she manages day-to-day financials and contracts for all 220+ members. Ashleigh chairs the Student Community Liaison Committee to improve student-resident relations. Currently in her third year of pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Quantitative Analysis and Finance, along with a Statistics Minor, Ashleigh is passionate about piano, French horn, coding, and painting.
