Ryan Newton

Ryan is a fifth-year student expecting to graduate in spring 2026. They joined the electronics team on my first lab day during the 2021 float, Stargrazers, with little experience. Last year as Electronics Lead, they helped finish updating our animation system, led mechanism tests, and served as Animation Engine Operator in the 2025 Rose Parade. They are excited to be this year’s construction chair, and to help the team to build an amazing float! Ryan are not sure where they will go after college, but plan plan to use their Rose Float experience along the way.
