Aya Shadan
She/Her/Hers
Yoga
As a Yoga instructor, Aya guides explorations of the vast and dynamic inner landscape. For Aya, Yoga practice is a sacred homey space, a time and place to ground and return to the present amidst the complexities of life. Over the past handful of years, Aya has experienced how the teachings of Yoga have and continue to support the cultivation of her essence, intuition, and body-mind connection. As a witness to the growth and grounding yoga inspires, Aya takes great joy in sharing the practice with others. Outside of teaching, Aya is an Architecture Student at Cal Poly which informs her attention to student needs and intersectional perspective. This intersectionality is reflected in her teaching style where she invites awareness of the spatial conditions of the body and intuitive responses to these discoveries. Aya aspires to cultivate a safe space for all to play, be curious, create heat and find ease. She is a graduate of the 200 YTT at Yoga Garden in San Francisco, and as of 2022, she is pursuing a certificate in Trauma Informed Teacher Training.
