Reservable Spaces
There are several on-campus locations for clubs to use for meetings or events beyond the ASI-managed spaces. Review the list of popular locations provided below!
ASI Managed Facilities
Browse ASI-managed facilities to find the perfect space to fit your group’s needs.
- Cal Poly Recreation Center
- Studio rooms, gymnasiums, Multi-Activity Center (MAC), Lap Pool, pool deck, sand volleyball courts, Mat Room, Track Exercise Room, racquetball courts, and more!
- Julian A. McPhee University Union
- University Union (UU) Plaza and stage, booths, tables, conference rooms, lounges, and Chumash Auditorium.
- Cal Poly Sports Complex
- Artificial and natural turf fields, softball fields, and basketball courts.
- Poly “P”
- Doerr Family Field
University Lecture Rooms
- The university has multiple on-campus lecture rooms to host RSO meetings and events. Each space varies on capacity limit, room features, and instructions.
- Academic classes have priority in university lecture rooms.
- Rooms are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.

- Note — not all listed lecture rooms are available to clubs and may require department permission. If the lecture room is listed as an option for a classroom on the E-Plan, department permission is not required.

Booth/Table/Sandwich Board Space
- An E-Plan must be submitted for all booth, table, and sandwich board reservations. Spaces include:
- University Union Plaza and Marketplace: booths/tables (table provided by ASI)
- Mustang Way-Mid: booths/tables/sandwich boards
- University Union Plaza and Marketplace: booths*
- University Union Plaza and Marketplace: tables*
- Mustang Way: mid booths/tables/sandwich boards
- Dexter Lawn: booths/tables/sandwich boards
- Via Carta: booths/tables/sandwich boards

Outdoor Locations and Lawns
- Dexter Lawn (034) and O’Neill Green space(s) can be reserved in portions or all at once to host large outdoor events and gatherings. Spaces include:
- Dexter Lawn Center walkway
- Dexter Lawn East
- Dexter Lawn West
- Dexter Lawn Mall
- O’Neill Green East
- O’Neill Green North
- O’Neill Green South
- O’Neill Green Rose Garden

Department Managed Spaces
- Select spaces on campus are overseen by the managing department. ASI Facility Scheduling will inform the event contact when department permission is needed.
- The club contact must email the department scheduler to request use of the specific room. You can locate the department scheduler by visiting the department website. Once confirmation is received from the department, please forward it to asieplan@calpoly.edu and include your reference number in your email subject line. If written permission from the department is not given to us, the requested space will not be assigned. This must be sent to ASI Facility Scheduling no less than one week prior to the event.
- All requests to lock or unlock the space must be made directly with the department which manages the space.
ATL Keck Lab and Bonderson Engineering Project Center
- The Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) Keck Lab (007–0002) and Bonderson Engineering Project Center (197) spaces are generally reserved for events related to the College of Engineering (CENG).
- Bonderson Engineering Project Center rooms (197):

- Bonderson Conference Room (197–0203)
- Bonderson Plaza
- Bonderson Lawn
- Bonderson Engineering Project Center rooms (197):
- In addition to an E-Plan, all requests will be reviewed by the College of Engineering.

Performing Arts Center (PAC)
- The Performing Arts Center (06) offers a number of rental spaces for performances, banquets, meetings, and other events.
- Campus non-performance requests for use of the PAC are generally evaluated three months prior to the event.
- In addition to an E-Plan, an Event Information Form must be submitted prior to location confirmation.
- Charges apply, including administrative fees and technical labor costs.
Mott Athletic Centers and Anderson Pool
- Mott Athletic Centers and Anderson Pool (042) space is primarily used for academic and athletic activities.
- In addition to an E-Plan, all requests are reviewed by Cal Poly Athletics.
- Charges may be incurred when using these facilities.
Alex and Faye Spanos Theater, Lawn, and Patio
- Alex and Faye Spanos Theater (044–0227), Lawn, and Patio (044), are generally reserved in connection with or in support of events occurring in Spanos Theater.
- In addition to an E-Plan, a Request for Use (RFU) Form must be submitted prior to location confirmation. All requests are reviewed by Spanos Theater staff.
