The Cal Poly P Ascent Climb-a-thon Challenge

ASI Poly Escapes is teaming up with ASI Intramural Sports to bring back a campus favorite climbing relay competition—The Cal Poly P Ascent Climb-A-Thon Challenge! Held at the Poly Escapes Climbing Park, participants will see how many top rope routes they can climb with the goal of reaching the vertical height of the Cal Poly P—1144 feet! Teams will compete in groups of four. Intramural Sports Officials will tally participants’ successful climbs while Climbing Park Supervisors assist onsite to belay participants.

At least two participants per team must be Belay Certified prior to the start of the event. Belay Classes are offered free of charge leading up to the event. If a participant already knows how to belay, they can get certified during any regular Climbing Park operational hours.

Registration required. Registration opens Monday, March 9 at 5 p.m. in Fusion Play. Purchase a Competition Pass through ASI Access for $5 before registering your team in Fusion Play. Spots will fill quickly—so purchase passes early and setup your Fusion Play account ahead of registration times!
