Yury Diaz
She/Her/Hers
Teacher — Orfalea Family & ASI Children's Center
Teaching Staff
Yury developed a passion for early childhood education early on. She started at San Luis Obispo High School where they had a part-time preschool that students were able to volunteer at from that moment she knew teaching was her calling. She then attended Cuesta College where she completed the Early Childhood Education Program. During that time, Yury started her first job as a teacher for the Child Development Resource Center.
Since then, Yury has worked at Country Cottage Preschool and the Atascadero Children’s Center all while working on completing her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education through Brandman University. Within her role at ASI, Yury hopes to grow as an educator and further her knowledge as a teacher. She also looks forward to working with the Cal Poly students in hopes that she can become a role model/mentor to them. Yury is grateful to have the privilege of learning alongside children. It is a profession that makes her feel fulfilled and proud at the end of the day. Yury currently lives in Atascadero with her boyfriend Eddie. Outside of work she enjoys going to live music events and watching Dodger games!
