Ron Skamfer

Ron began his employment with ASI as an assistant director in 2003. Throughout his career with ASI, he has held a series of roles, all within ASI facilities management. In his role as director – facilities management, Ron oversees the facility operations, facility maintenance, custodial operations, event management, and facility project management in ASI-managed facilities. Ron has a bachelor’s degree in social science/public policy from Cal Poly and a master’s degree in sport management from San Jose State. Ron has been involved in the addition of artificial turf fields to the Cal Poly Sports Complex in 2009, the expansion of the Cal Poly Recreation Center in 2012, the installation of the Doerr Family Field in 2018, and the addition of the MultiCultural Center in 2019.

My goal is for ASI-managed facilities to serve as a source of pride for Cal Poly. We work to consistently present clean, safe, modern facilities managed with staff who foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
