Andi has a Bachelor of Science in child development with an emphasis in family studies from Cal Poly. Andi has been an early childcare educator since 1981. She has been teaching at the Children’s Center as a head teacher in the preschool–kindergarten classes since 1991. Andi has experience that includes being a co-op preschool director and an assistant director for a 24 hour a day, year-round day care center. Andi is very active in early childcare education as a California mentor teacher, a stakeholder committee member for the Prekindergarten Guidelines Curriculum Project, a professional growth advisor, and has presented at national conferences. Her favorite work in the classroom is to be creative, innovative, and motivate children to take risks and grow in all areas. She enjoys visits from past students and student staff to share memories.
