Nancy began her employment with ASI in the fall of 2000 and has held numerous positions. As fitness coordinator at the Cal Poly Recreation Center, she managed the group fitness program and established the first student personal training program. Nancy also took over the ASI Chumash Challenge High Ropes Team Building Program, operating the program for 10 years after completely rebuilding and reorganizing it. As outdoor recreation coordinator at the Julian A. McPhee University Union, Nancy restructured the ASI Poly Escapes outdoor adventure program and eventually moved the program to the Recreation Center. While assisting with the design of the ASI Poly Escapes Climbing Park, she established a robust climbing program on campus.

Currently, Nancy is the assistant director of programs at the Recreation Center. She oversees the programmatic, student, and staff positions of Membership Services, ASI Intramural Sports, The Pro Shop, and ASI Poly Escapes. Nancy has a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration and a master’s degree in exercise physiology; both from Washington State University. She received the ASI Outstanding Service Award in 2012. Her favorite part of ASI is the time spent with students.
