Erin Stehli
She/Her/Hers
Head Teacher — Orfalea Family & ASI Children's Center
Teaching Staff
Erin has known she wanted to be a teacher since she was 5. She started her schooling at Cal Poly in 2001 with the intention to teach elementary school, but in 2003 when she started working as a student assistant at the ASI Children’s Center, her passions began to shift. By graduation, Erin wanted nothing more than to stay firmly rooted in the Children’s Center’s philosophy, and respectful care for young children. Luckily a job opened up, and the journey continued on. Erin met her husband Alan, also a center teacher at the time, and moved to Turkey to teach English and see the world. After two wonderful years, she and Alan returned to San Luis Obispo and she was lucky enough to slide right back into a teaching position at the school that raised her. She now has three center children of her own, and when not at school, they love to explore the beaches, hiking spaces, and farmer’s markets of the Central Coast as a family.
