Bob Donk

Bob is the cornerstone of our pool operations, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and well-maintained, even during emergencies. Always approaching his work with a smile and a readiness to help his colleagues, Bob’s technical expertise, positive attitude, and proactive approach make him invaluable. This winter, he played a pivotal role in the Leisure Pool renovation, serving as a key advocate and ensuring everything ran smoothly and safely. His dedication greatly enhances the safety and well-being of our swimmers, often addressing issues before they arise.

Bob has worked with ASI since 2005. Throughout his career with ASI, he has been a Building Service Worker and Lead Building Service worker at the Cal Poly Recreation Center. Previous to ASI, he owned and operated his own cleaning business. In his current role as Maintenance Technician I, he performs general building maintenance and maintains the 50-meter and leisure pool operating systems at the Recreation Center. Bob appreciates the relationships he has built with colleagues and mentorship opportunities with student staff. He enjoys fishing, mountain biking, and hiking.
