COVID-19 Operating Information

Orfalea Family & ASI Children’s Center

General Information

COVID-19 Guidance

The Children’s Center will continue to adhere to all guidance issued by the appropriate governing agencies. If there are different requirements between the most current CDPH, Community Care Licensing (CCL), Cal/OSHA, and local health department guidance or health orders, we are asked to follow the strictest requirements

Quarantine and Isolation for Children

It is important to the health and safety of the Children’s Center that families honestly report exposures and confirmed cases of COVID-19 to the Director—Children’s Programs or the Coordinator—Children’s Center Operations.

  • Classroom Exposures: Decisions about quarantine, after classroom exposure, will continue to be made in alignment with the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Non-Emergency Regulations for staff to return to work.
  • Other Exposures (including household): Length of quarantine for exposures outside of the Children’s Center will be dependent on taking a day three–five or later test and receiving negative test results. If no test is taken, quarantine must be a total of ten days (if no symptoms are present).
  • Positive Cases: Length of isolation for children will be dependent on taking a day five or later test and receiving negative test results. If no test is taken, isolation must be a total of 10 days if symptoms are resolving, and no fever is present.

For further guidance about isolation and quarantine, check in with program staff before returning to the Children’s Center.
